I started blogging on June 21, 2011.
I wear many hats, figuratively speaking. I am a Mom of 2 boys under the age of 5 (Massimo and Rocco), wife of a restaurant owner (Michael of Skappo), CEO of Household affairs, Mediator of all things domestic, avid thrift shopper, occasional Ebayer, to name a few.
In my many roles I have different experiences that have brought me highs and also lows. I don’t want to talk about the downers. I hear about them too often.
It is time to pass on the happy messages. “I choose happy now” as my theme because happiness can be as contagious as negative words.
“I choose happy now” is also my mantra when I am starting to see myself get complainy, blue or blah. I just say the phrase “I choose happy now” to remind myself that happiness is a choice and I can choose to be happy rather than sad.
Since starting this blog I have tried to develop a few sections that I hope you enjoy:
1. Connecticut - “Being a Tourist in Your Own Backyard” – Things to do in Connecticut
3. Vintage Shopping - ”Thrift Shop and Estate Sale Finds” – I have a passion for vintage shopping. I will post some of my weekly finds. Some will be for sale, but many items are part of my collection. Currently items for sale are on Etsy or Ebay.
4. Illustrations - I am an aspiring illustrator. I will try to feature a random selection of my artistic creations.
5. Quotations and Inspirations- A weekly posting of simple quotes that may inspire you.
I am currently writing my very first fictional novel. I can not let the cat out of the bag yet and say what it is about. Keep checking back to my blog and I will reveal more in the future.
I hope to find like minded people who want to be positive and think happy thoughts. Please feel free to send through your great stories, comments and ideas!
You can follow my blog by subscribing, on Kindle or RSS Feeds. I am also on Facebook so let’s be friends!
