Blogging For Myself and Anyone Who Happens to Come By

computerMy blogging journey started last June 21, 2011.  I made a promise to myself that I would write a post a day for one year.  Two days ago I missed that target because it was Easter Monday and we decided to spend a family day together, so I took a rest day from my blog.

When I started this blog I would write my posts early in the morning, but lately my kids have been wanting my attention in the morning hours.  The blogging I would do in the afternoons has also been interrupted by Rocco, my 2-year-old who has decided to stop his naps.

Evenings have now become my time to jot down a few ideas for blog posts.  I will still try to do a blog a day, but if I miss my personal deadline I will not stress out about it.

Recently, I was asked why I blog and what I would do after the year was over. Would I continue blogging or move on to another chapter of my life?

I blog because it is fun and I love to write and tell stories.  My one year of blogging is coming up on June 21, 2012.  Only time will tell if I continue my blogging journey or if I find another outlet of creativity.

Michael, my husband, is my biggest fan.  He keeps on encouraging me to keep the positive blogging going as I have been able to touch his life and some readers lives along the way.

Thank you for letting me share and have a great day!

  1. I hope you continue because the world needs more possitive affirmation, and that’s just one good thing I can say out of the other numerous reasons I can list! Keep up the good work!

I agree. I hope you do continue blogging way past your first year mark, as long as, of course, you continue enjoying doing so. The stories you share are a ray of daily sunshine! :) Thank you!! :D

  3. Don’t even think of stopping! How would we hear about your trip to Italy? How would we find out how Massimo and Rocco are doing? Every day is hard, I so agree. But maybe transition to once a week or so.

    • Angeline, thank you for caring! I am really going to keep it going, but not on a daily basis. My husband said he would be sad if I stopped all together. I will too!

Italy is going to be fun. You were right that the planning is half the fun!

      Cheers,
      Louise

  4. Write when you can. Your priorities are correct~the family time was the most important. Know that we delight in your posts whenever you put them up!

  5. Blogging daily is quite a commitment. When your year is up, let it flow naturally.

    • Hi Lisha! It was easy to do a daily blog until recently. You know how it goes, the “real world” needs more of my attention.

I do enjoy it though and will let it go organically.

      Cheers,
      Louise
